Leadership Team
Organizational Structure
Socca Canada operates as a member federation of the International Socca Federation (ISF), the global governing body for 6-a-side football. The President leads the organization with support from the Executive Board. Decisions are made collectively with the goal of growing 6-a-side football across Canada. Roles and responsibilities are distributed among the leadership team to ensure effective governance and operations.
Executive Board
The Executive Board consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Together, they oversee strategic direction, competition management, team selection, partnerships, and finances. The Board meets regularly to discuss federation business and ensure Socca Canada continues to grow and serve the Canadian football community.
Meetings
The Executive Board meets periodically to plan competitions, review operations, and set strategic direction for the federation. Annual General Meetings are held to review the year's activities, present financial reports, and set goals for the coming year. Meeting notes and key decisions are documented for transparency and accountability.
Decision Making
Decisions within Socca Canada are made by consensus when possible, ensuring all voices on the Executive Board are heard. On matters where consensus cannot be reached, the Executive Board holds a formal vote. The President holds the casting vote in the event of a tie, ensuring that the federation can always move forward decisively.
Committees & Working Groups
The President may establish committees or working groups for specific areas of focus, including competitions, marketing, youth development, and referee programs. Committee leads report directly to the Executive Board. This structure allows volunteers and community members to contribute meaningfully to specific areas of interest and helps distribute the workload across the organization.
Affiliation & Compliance
Socca Canada operates in accordance with ISF statutes and regulations. As a member federation, Socca Canada upholds the ISF's standards for competition, fair play, and governance. The federation also complies with Canadian law, including PIPEDA for data protection and privacy. All activities are conducted with transparency and in the best interest of the sport and its participants.
